Story Academy

Goal of the Program

The Story Academy is a builder program designed to support, mentor, and accelerate promising entrepreneurs and innovative projects building on Story. Core benefits include product insights, marketing know-how, office space in Palo Alto (CA), and GTM support matching the level of ambition and execution capability of each project. If you're a visionary builder already working on or planning to build a project on top of Story, we want to talk to you.

Due to increasing interest, the program will prioritize projects already launched on or actively integrating Story (quickstart guide). Acceptance into the program doesn't guarantee grants. In the rare cases where a grant is critical to the development of an MVP (minimum viable product), the amount ranges between $20k and $50k (maximum amount).

Accelerator

The accelerator is designed for established projects with a core team and a clear product roadmap. The program aims to support ambitious teams in reaching product-market fit and long-term growth.

Timeline: We review applications on a rolling basis

Program Timeline: Milestones based, on average 6-7 weeks

The incubator is tailored for aspiring entrepreneurs and pre-seed projects. This immersive program offers structured support and mentorship to guide your project from concept to MVP.

Application Timeline: Jul 9th - end Sep, 2024, first come, first review - limited spots

Program Duration: 12 weeks starting from September, with a final demo day

IPfi:

X-to-earn for IP (listen-to-earn, create-to-earn, register-to-earn etc.), initial IP offering (token/debt), IP collateralized lending solutions, IP fractionalization, IP fund/aggregators, RWA tokenization of royalties or cashflow, IP data oracles, bonding curve for IP shares or licenses, ERC-404 style hybrid liquidity, Memes as IP liquidity

Creator and Consumer Apps:

Content distribution apps for creators (Webtoon, Wattpad style), SocialFi, gaming with world-building, UGC, or modding, interactive storytelling, franchise collaboration platforms (GitHub for IP), plugins for popular CMS (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, Substack, Medium), payment solutions for licenses, IP curation platform

AI:

AI model monetization (licensing, model tokenization, derivative tracking), crowdsourcing datasets (copyright compliant, creator friendly, commercial usage), AI agents marketplace, AI model fine-tuning with creator assets (likeness, voice, style) with attribution for commercial usage, authorized AI remixing with revenue share (brands, images, music)

Taking part in Story Academy is just the beginning of your journey. While supporting your project for success is paramount, we want to ensure the journey is equally memorable.

Projects graduating from the incubator program can get priority track to the accelerator

Projects have the opportunity to participate in ecosystem showcases at major industry events such as EthDenver, EthCC, KBW, DevCon, and other Story-led Hacker Houses.

We don’t enforce exclusivity. We are happy to refer incubated teams to other accelerators like the Alliance DAO, a16z CSS, and more

When projects complete their milestones and continuously showcase progress, we have a very robust VC network we can refer to

Ongoing Go-to-market (GTM) support and help with regional distributions (East & West)
